Hello!
Every package has been shipped out as of yesterday. There were a very small number of items (mainly stickers) that I ended up short on, but I sent out all the packages anyway, and if you're missing any items you'll get replacements asap as I get them in. I have already ordered all the replacements. (Note: if you completed your survey within the last two week or so, you'll be getting your rewards in the next wave of shipments).
When you receive your package, please let me know if you are missing any items. I will be happy to replace them. :)
Here are the updates about what's coming next for the Spells universe:
Rage Spells #1
We will be launching this campaign in about two weeks! This is a brand-new series about a priestess of the rage temple, illustrated by Kay Chantry. She's actually the artist who drew cover D of Time Spells:
Kay has now signed on for interiors for Rage Spells, and I think you're absolutely going to love her work. We have some great variant artists signed on as well, and I'll be revealing their covers soon. Here's Kay's main cover:
In other news, a little later this summer we will have the now re-named Love Spells #4. As we head to the climax of the first story arc, things are heating up between Mora and Cari...
And finally, we should talk about Time Spells. This series will continue! Our interior artist, Cammry, has had a major career shift since finishing the first issue. They remain committed to finishing the remaining issues of the series, but the timeline has shifted. So, Time Spells #2 may be a little further out than originally planned. I don't want to announce a specific target date yet because I'm not 100% sure, but work has begun on the second issue, and I will keep you updated.

Hello! Just wanted to drop in to let you know that the bulk of the comics have arrived! I am waiting on the metals/holofoils which I order from a different printer, but I expect those to arrive shortly.
The only other item I'm waiting on is the stretch goal tarot cards, which I just got a shipping notification for and should arrive at my home next week.
Speaking of: I decided to go ahead and print the tarot cards, and give every physical backer one. I know we didn't actually hit the stretch goal, but we were close! And this card just rocks:
While I wait for those last items I'll be organizing and prepping everything to go out.
I will be locking addresses over the next couple of weeks in waves as I prep and get ready to ship out orders.
A small note: If you ordered Sex Spells #3, both orders will be arriving in the same package.
Some updates on the "Spellsverse":
-Sex Spells #4 is about halfway done as of this update. I will begin promoting this heavily once all the rewards for Sex Spells #3 and Time Spells #1 are shipped out.
-Time Spells #2 is in early thumbnail stages. This one probably won't hit Kickstarter until late this year, but it's coming!
-Our third, and most exciting, spinoff is officially in production! It's called Rage Spells, and it follows a priestess of the Temple of Rage and Power on a journey of revenge and self-discovery.

Hello! I just sent out the digital files for both the standard and deluxe digital editions via the Backerkit. If you have not received your download and you HAVE completed your survey, let me know, and I'll get you sorted out. If you haven't completed your survey yet and you need a link to it, let me know and I'll get you that too!
I will send out another update when I get the printed copies in. I'm excited to get everything packed up and shipped out to all of you! I expect it will be 2-3 weeks until I get the books, and then I'll start shipping them out immediately.
Here's a little look forward at the world of Sex/Time Spells and Kale Comics in general:
-Once we get Sex Spells #3 and Time Spells #1 into backers' hands, we will be launching Sex Spells #4!
-We have already locked in a timeline with the artists for this calendar year to complete Sex Spells #5 and Time Spells #2, but we will also be launching another brand new entry into the Spells story universe sooner than you think - stay tuned.

Strong finish! + What's next

Hello! Thanks to all of you, we finished strong with our campaign, ending at 13k last night. While we didn't hit our tarot card stretch goal, this campaign had a very strong performance (in my opinion) for a new series. While this is only my 4th nsfw launch on Kickstarter, and it's easy to look at other nsfw series and see them earning much more, I have a simple metric I use to judge a project's success:
- Did it make enough money to pay for itself with some cushion?
- Is this a story that I (and my collaborators) are excited to tell?
- Is there a swell of enthusiasm from the readers/backers around the project?
In this case, all three are an absolute YES! So, I'm incredibly happy. We are thrilled to be making this book, and we WILL be continuing with the full run of Time Spells (a total of five issues).
What's Next?
Here's what you can expect moving forward:
- Over the next week Kickstarter will attempt to automatically collect all the pledges. If your pledge fails after a week, you will still have a chance to fix it on the Backerkit survey.
- I will be sending out the Backerkit survey for this project (hopefully) by the end of February. I've been getting better at making Backerkit surveys, especially for these NSFW projects, so I'm hoping there will be fewer delays and back and forth with the Backerkit team on this one. Once you get the survey, you can select any extra add-ons you want (including all covers from Sex Spells #1-3), upgrade cover selections, answer a few questions, and pay for shipping.
- I expect us to wrap art and production on this issue by mid-March, at which point we will immediately send everything to print. We are printing with a domestic (US-based) printer, so I expect to have all the books in hand by early April.
- Once I have books in hand, I will lock down addresses on the Backerkit survey, at which point you will have 48 hours to confirm your address or change it if you have moved. Then, I will begin shipping out rewards. My current estimate for completing fulfilment is late April, though I set the delivery deadline for this project to June just in case there are any delays with printing or shipping.
- Once all the rewards for both this campaign and Sex Spells #3 are delivered to backers, I will begin promoting the launches of Sex Spells #4 and Time Spells #2, which I am currently hoping to launch sometime between May and July.
